This rapid-application spray excels in ease of use and delivers a slick surface with a coefficient of friction of 0.12. However, durability is a significant weakness, offering minimal protection against abrasion. It did not survive even 10 washes in the elcometer. There was also a loss of specular reflection from the 94GU panel we used for this test. We measured just 90.6GU compared to bare paint. Note: We now use a 88GU panel for this particular test.
Visual results vary considerably by paint color. Appearing excellent on red panels, but with far less notable results on black. Suggesting finish quality will vary on dark vs. light cars. Water beading is moderate at 94.1 degrees of contact angle, it is truly hydrophobic, but not very hydrophobic compared to top of the line products.
